hdst aka (Hank) lives in Vancouver with his wife and dog. His interests include hiking, American football, cooking, history, and generally being a know-it-all.
Career[edit]
Hank is currently a PhD student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He studies the history of technology and the environment in 20th century North America. His current research focuses on influence of alternative technology and environmental concerns on Canadian and American energy policy in the late 1970s and the struggle between high and low modernity this influence caused within the Trudeau and Carter administrations.
Hank is also undergoing training as Wiki ambassador as part of Wikimedia program at UBC.
