I have been a professional journalist, historian, and editor for 35 years since graduating with a masters degree in journalism from Colombia Journalism School. I have authored or co-authored 13 books, published dozens of articles in major magazines, and written introductions for numerous books.
Nearly 100 years ago, Sir James Murray, the longtime editor of the original Oxford English Dictionary, inscribed and sent a book of photographs of Oxford, England to my great-grandfather for his many important contributions to that groundbreaking dictionary.
In a similar vein, I have been delighted to help improve Wikipedia in a very modest way for 11 years, 10 months and 27 days, and have edited over 100 entries and made more than 1,000 edits.
