The permission tag as added by User:NepaliBoy7, who I'm fairly sure is not an OTRS volunteer. He self-identifies as 13 and was not the handler of the ticket in question. All of the images from it were uploaded to commons, not English Wikipedia.

There are some parts of this ticket that are tricky to follow, though. I'm started a discussion on the OTRS email list hoping to get some clarifications. It seems unlikely, though not strictly impossible, that this OTRS tag is legitimate. WilyD 18:05, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

The ticket does relate to a large-ish number of legitimate "Beauty Pagent" contestants. For instance Image:Elizabeth_Hawthorne_long.png is a legitimate copy of that license. It does seem that all the legitimate ones were uploaded to commons, though, and verified by someone else. WilyD 18:33, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi, you just now reverted my edit as on above article as vandalism. WP defines vandalism as The most common types of vandalism include the addition of obscenities or crude humor, page blanking, or the insertion of nonsense into articles. The news I had added might sound obscene but is very common for celebrities and people working in movies. Such text exists for other celebrities on WP. Adding it for Ayesha is not vandalism. Just want to check your opinion. --GPPande talk! 15:59, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Hello there!!!! In My POV, The text in the reference section was obscene and disrespectful. You can check that here. According to me, a biography of living people should not contain such elements. It is a speculative claim, which was verified with a gossip column. WP:BLP says Material about living persons must be sourced very carefully. Without reliable third-party sources, it may include original research and unverifiable statements, and could lead to libel claims. However, if you do not agree with me then you may restore the previous version. happy Editing!!!! Hitro 15:28, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I understand that the content might be disrespectful in many sense but surely verifiable and true. Santabanta is one of the most visited websites as can be seen from the Alexa traffic results from here. So WP:RS condition is met here and it is not WP:OR. Coming back to content being disrespectful, such news are very common to celebrities and often noted in articles. Read Pamela Anderson. Since reverting your action by me might count as edit warring I would leave it on you to decide on weather to put back the content or not. --GPPande talk! 16:09, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

MeetingUniverse

[edit]

You accused the entry for MeetingUniverse as having fake references or hoping to pawn off banner ads. Did you look at any of the references? They are all legitimate and from what I can tell did not generate a single banner ad for MeetingUniverse.

Hospitalityexpert (talk) 01:32, 7 July 2009 (UTC)HospitalityExpert

Just a redirection links within any site do not make MeetingUniverse an encyclopedic element. Notability is major criteria for inclusion of web content at Wikipedia. Sources should directly support the information as it is presented in an article and should be appropriate to the claims made. And of course, we are talking about third party reliable sources. Mere presence of url on different websites does not make any website notable. Hitro 13:49, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

I could not find any redirects as you have noted and out of all the articles only one has an excerpt with the rest of the article being readily accessed after free registration. They all take me to an article about MeetingUniverse or about MeetingUniverse and similar companies. Also on every article I noted there was more than just a passing interest but some mention of why the company is important to the meetings industry. Yeah the 100 billion dollar industry as defined by American Express. Your accusation against Fetzer that somehow the links were created for banner advertising purposes is offensive and possibly libelous.

Hospitalityexpert (talk) 18:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Hospitality Expert

References Review at your talk page by Cobaltbluetony (talk · contribs), explains exactly why those sources were inapplicable. The redirection link I was talking about is here. This website was used as source just because MeetingUniverse is mentioned under 17+ Web Bookmarks for Meetings, Business and Fun. I hope you agree, this is no reason for notability.
Apart from that, I have not deleted this page. It has been deleted after proper consensus at AfD and AfDs are not based on vote count. If you still disagree then you may take this deletion at deletion review.
However, my comments are not meant to offend anybody. It is just the misinterpretation of My Point of View that made you think so. Hitro 20:42, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello, I added some info to the Vunty page. Can you check out the edits I made and tell me if it is O.K. now? ThanksPoprocks97 (talk) 16:27, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Notability is the most important factor for inclusion of any article into Wikipedia. As of now, I am not able to find why Vunty is notable. WP:WEB has a criteria list and your article should fulfill those criteria to stay into Wikipedia. Apart from that, the claims of notability should be duly sourced and verified. However, if you can enhance the article to assert required notability then state your case at Talk:Vunty. Administrators will look into this before taking decision on keeping or deleting the article. Thank you and Happy editing!!!! Hitro talk 16:38, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Saraswati International School

[edit]

Actually I'm new to Wikipedia that's why. Sorry for that. Can you suggesst me any parts of Saraswati International School article which are causing it to be in Spam. Because I want it on Wikipedia at any cost. I hope you understand. Please help me to edit it.

Thank You, —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sukhoi30mki (talkcontribs) 12:27, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

First of all, if you are writing any article be sure you write from a neutral point of view, that you have no conflict of interest, and that you are able to find references in reliable sources that are independent from the subject you are writing about. Secondly, gather sources to the information for your article. To be worth including in the encyclopedia a subject must be sufficiently notable and that notability must be verifiable through references to reliable sources. All claims made within the article should be verifiable and well sourced through third party website or publication. Previous version of this article which got deleted was less informative than promotive. Tone of the article was tending towards advertorial nature, which you need to avoid totally at Wikipedia. I hope this will be helpful. Regards.. Hitro talk 16:43, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Can I post that article again? You can edit those parts which are being promotive. I'd like to ask that if that article was promotive, than what about the articles that are written on Nike Inc., Reebok, Adidas, Hotel Taj. Are they not promotive. If they are popular, then this school is popular too in South Gujarat if you dont know. So tell me if you are able to edit those unwanted parts, than I'll post it again. And I also wanted to know that how can I upload any image which I want to attach to any article. I think the article on Ahlcon International School is also promotive, then why is it not getting deleted? Thank You. Sukhoi30mki (talk) 10:59, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Plenty of articles exist that probably should not. Equally, because articles must wait for someone who is interested in the subject to notice they are missing before they are created, a lot of articles do not exist that probably should. So just pointing out that an article on a similar subject exists does not prove that the article in question should also exist; it is quite possible that the other article should also be deleted but nobody has noticed it and put it forward for consideration. This is established guideline at Wikipedia, you can go through it at WP:OTHERSTUFF. Articles like Nike and Adidas are not written in advertorial tone. They have sources to verify the claims. They represent global view not local. And above all, they satisfy notability criteria. Regarding Ahlcon International School, since you brought it to my notice, I have tagged it with a maintenance template but I don't find any promotional material in it. It does not speak why this institution is great. Unverified claims are removed.
Ofcourse, you can create the article about Saraswati International School again and I would be happy to help you. Make sure to verify the claims you make within the articles with proper sources.
Please read, WP:IMAGE, regarding process for uploading images. I hope this will be helpful.
Regards
Hitro talk 14:41, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

This article is now being sent for Afd, articles for discussion/deletion. Can ou remove that tag? I'll post the article again and tell you so that you can remove those lines which are unacceptable. And as for sources to verify the claim, the article had been published in Gujarat's popular newspapper Divya-Bhaskar. This school has it's own website i.e., www.sisvalsad.com ; also this school has its community on Orkut. Even this school has been located on WikiMapia, the link to it is as follows:- Saraswati International School's Satellite View I hope you must have heard about Orkut. Do reply.

Thank You, Sukhoi30mki (talk) 13:39, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello!! The AfD tags are removed only when deletion discussions are closed. So, I can not remove it as of now. But you need not worry, this article does seem to survive this AfD debate. Orkut, Myspace, Facebook and Self published web content are not accepted source for verification at Wikipedia. However, if you can verify your claims through reliable third party published coverages such as newspapers, then content of your article will not be questioned no more. Make sure to include non-trivial coverage in external sources as references.
You can always rewrite the article, there are many wikipedians including me who are watching every new article and ready to bring about changes that are accepted at Wikipedia. Regards!!!! Hitro talk 17:11, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

Hi Hitrohit2001! I just wanted to inform you that I removed the speedy deletion tag you placed on Sasha De Linda Krav. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. Theleftorium 17:06, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello!!! A7 criterion does apply if the claim of significance or importance given is not credible. There is no significant claims. The significance of Inclusion of the Cambridge Analog Technologies page

[edit]

Dear Hitro,

Cambridge Analog Technologies is primarily significant because of its contributions to field of semiconductors in general and circuit design in particular. This company has invented a (proven) revolutionary new method of designing analog circuits that are 10x lower than what is traditional. It has 30 patents worldwide, this company also received a NSF award for this work, the paper on this technology has also recd numerous other awards incld the best paper award @ ISSCC.

Sometimes certain organizations get intertwined with certain innovations that are so fundamentally disruptive that it becomes generally relevant for average folks but certainly those in the field.

These innovations will be detailed with this company with citations etc.

You do have other companies such as TSMC, ARM, Chipidea, MIPs. The last three companies are in the business of semiconductor Semiconductor IP business as well.

Wikipedia is an excellent source of relevant past and contemporary information; this page certainly is an excellent candidate for inclusion precisely because of its scientific contributions. While I may be seen as someone who has reason to be biased, I would not be providing this information did I feel this was not the case.

I hope this explains why we deemed it fit for inclusion in wikipedia. If you would like verification of its contributions, I would be happy to provide those to you.

I would ask that this page not be deleted; if it needs editing with further information, I would be happy to do so as appropriate.

Thanks and Best Regards, Kush Gulati Catwikionline (talk) 04:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello Kush!!
A company, corporation or organization is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject. The depth of coverage of the subject by the source must be considered. If the depth of coverage is not substantial, then multiple independent sources should be cited to establish notability. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. The source's audience must also be considered. Evidence of attention by international or national, or at least regional, media is a strong indication of notability. On the other hand, attention solely from local media, or media of limited interest and circulation, is not an indication of notability.
If you think Cambridge Analog Technologies fulfills the general notability guideline I mentioned above then you may recreate the article, Make Sure to verify the claims made within the articles with reliable sources. I hope this will be helpful, Regards. Hitro talk 11:04, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
