Harris (Hesh) Kagan is a Senior Consultant with Invensys Operations Management (IOM) working on New Initiatives within the Portfolio organization. Hesh is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry gatherings. Hesh has been part of the IOM family for over 30 years and has held several thought-leadership positions with the Foxboro Company, a division of IOM. He’s headed Foxboro’s systems engineering group and was part of the original team that developed the Foxboro I/A Series® process control system, the world’s first distributed control system based on Ethernet, Unix and open standards. He is a founding member and past president of the Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance, an organization focused on increasing the adoption of wireless technologies in industry. Hesh leads the development of new wireless and networking services and technologies for IOM, coordinating the wireless strategy for its global consulting and solutions business. He has published numerous articles, is a regular contributor to several publications and holds several patents in the automation field. He also serves on numerous industry advisory boards and is a member of ISA’s ISA100 committee.
