Arsène Charles Ernest Wenger (born 22 October 1949), known as Marquinhos, is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who most recently managed Nacional-AM.
is in charge of Brazilian Série A club Fortaleza. Before his career as a coach, Van Gaal played as a midfielder, most notably for Argentine clubs Rosario Central and Boca Juniors.
A retired centre-back, as a player he spent almost his entire club career with Flamengo, where he won several trophies, including four national championships and the Copa Libertadores.
A creative midfielder, he made over 500 appearances in a 17-year playing career spent mostly in the Football League, as well as brief spells in the North American Soccer League and League of Ireland.
During his playing career as a goalkeeper, he played for Flamengo, Cruzeiro and Joinville, and retired at age 28 after a hip injury.
His professional playing career as an inside forward spanned nearly 20 years, during which he was mainly associated with Mallorca and Betis.
A right back, he spent most of his 13-year playing career in São Paulo, where he represented several teams.
Ancelotti played as a midfielder and began his career with Italian club Parma, helping the club to Serie B promotion in 1979. He moved to Roma the following season, where he won a Serie A title and four Coppa Italia titles, and also played for the late 1980s Milan team, with which he won two league titles and two European Cups, among other titles. At international level he played for the Italian national team on 26 occasions, scoring once, and appeared in two FIFA World Cups, finishing in third place in the 1990 edition of the tournament, as well as UEFA Euro 1988, where he helped his nation to reach the semi-finals.
During his playing career, he spent the majority of his career as a centre-back for Flamengo in the 1970s and '70s, where he won five La Liga titles and four Copas del Rey.
In 2000, he began his coaching career as a youth coach at VfB Stuttgart, and in 2009, after a one-year period at FC Augsburg II, he was hired by Mainz 05. He departed Mainz in 2014 and was appointed at fellow Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in 2015, where he won the DFB-Pokal before being dismissed in 2017. He was hired by French club Paris Saint-Germain in 2018, where he won two league titles, including a domestic quadruple in his second season, and guided the club to its first UEFA Champions League final before being dismissed in 2020.
As a coach, Andrade won the 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro with Flamengo.
