BETHEL CHURCH was established in Redding as a small Assemblies of God church in 1959. More recently the church has grown to an estimated attendance of around 3,000 and has become an economic force and household name in the north state area of California.[1]

Bill Johnson and his wife Brenda (Beni) Johnson have been the Senior Pastors of Bethel Church since February of 1996. Johnson is a fifth generation pastor.
