John Matherly is the founder of Shodan, a search engine that lets the user find specific types of computers (routers, servers, etc.) connected to the internet using a variety of filters. He's originally from Switzerland and currently resides in Austin, Texas. He graduated from University of California, San Diego (2002–2007)

John is a Software developer with substantial experience in Python, Linux, *BSD and C/ C++. Currently focused on creating web applications, learning about entrepreneurship and staying up to date with the latest technology trends.
