I have worked in the metals industry, mostly on nonferrous metals, for more than 50 years in capacities from research, market development, communications, recycling and environmental effects. The past 30 years have been exclusively dedicated to work on cadmium and zinc. My employment includes the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Research Institute, the Zinc Institute, The Cadmium Council, the Zinc Metallizers Association, the International Cadmium Association and the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation. I have authored or edited over 130 papers, presentations, books and book chapters in the field of nonferrous metals, and hold 5 U.S. patents. I have chaired numerous professional society committees in AIME, ASM, NACE, ASTM, and SSPC. I have also served as the cadmium industry's representative to several international programs including the OECD Cadmium Risk Reduction Program, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Heavy Metals Protocol on Long Range Transboundary Air Pollution (LRTAP), and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Heavy Metals Expert Group.

I joined Wikipedia in June 2010.
