The Aquatic Ape Conference 1987 was held in Valkenburg, Netherlands in August 1987.[1]
Provenance[edit]
The Conference was organised by the European Sociobiological Society[2] (which is now merged with the International Society for Human Ethology). It was held in the Geerlingshof Conference Centre,Volkshogeschool en Europahuis

The conference papers were eventually published in 1991 under the title The Aquatic Ape: Fact or Fiction?The First Scientific Evaluation of a Controversial Theory of Human Evolution.[3]
