Current roster[edit]

Chen, Matthew[edit]

No.6 | Pos. PF | Ht. 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) | Wt. 240 lb (109 kg)

Matthew D. Wade Chen is a former Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) player, who was drafted into SGBA as Round 1 5th pick into the Magic. After 2 years, the Magics were decreasing greatly in performance level. So then, Matthew moved himself to the Meteors. After 2 seasons, he was traded into Colts by Doc Rivers. After playing three seasons and winning the championship for the third one, he decided for himself to move into the franchise team, AND2. He then joined along with Horvey Garnett, Danny Allen and Ted Pierce on the 3rd of March, 1985.

Han, Ted[edit]

No.34 | Pos. SF/SG | Ht. 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) | Wt. 235 lb (107 kg)

Ted Anthony Pierce Han is a former Korean Basketball League (KBL) player, who was drafted into SGBA as Round 1, pick 10th into AND2. He is one of the leagues most experienced players, and has been in the team for his whole career. He is also a talented three point shooter, and has won the 2010 SGBA 3 Point Shootout.

Liang, Gavin[edit]

No. 36 | Pos. PF/SG | Ht. 6th 7 in (2.02 m) | Wt. 237 lb (108 kg)

Gavin Shaquille Liang is a Torres Strait Islander who was introduced into SGBA by the Aboriginal Rights Society. At the time, he was looking for a job, but then has been suggested to enter the SGBA by the Head Administrator of the Aboriginal Rights Society who was surprised at his superb ball skills. Gavin entered the SGBA Draft and has been picked 18th of Round 1. Despite his outstanding basketball ability, the racist SGBA scouts dropped him down from a high 3rd pick to 18th.

Jiang, Phillip[edit]

No. 8 | Pos. C | | Ht. 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m ) | Wt. 253 lb (115 kg)

Phillip, picked 22nd of Round 1 in the SGBA Draft, is one of the league's tallest basketball players. Due to his towering height, he was given a scholarship by the Australian Sports Organisation to enter the SGBA. However, he missed 3 total seasons due to his injury. He is still currently overseas in Beijing, China for further surgery. There has also been rumours that he has faked his injury so that he can get plastic surgery for his ugliness in China.

Ly, Danny[edit]

No. 20 | Pos. SG | Ht. 6ft 5 in (1.96 m ) | 205 lb (93 kg)

Danny Allen Ly is currently the league's top three point shooter. He had recently broken the record for most three point shots made in SGBA, and is still working on extending his tremendous record. Not only that, but Danny also holds the SGBA record for most 3 Point Shootouts won.

Villavicencio, Joey[edit]

No. 9 | Pos. PG | Ht. 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m ) | 171 lb (78 kg)

Joey Rondo Villavicencio, who currently holds SGBA's record for most assists, also averages the most assists per game. Despite the short height of 1.85 m, Joey is a purely talented field goal shooter along with layups. He is the league's shortest player after Nate Robinson and he is also the only black.

Yan, Horvey[edit]

No. 5 | Pos. C | Ht. 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) | Wt. 325 lb (147 kg)

Horvey Garnett D. Howard Yan is the one of the fewest league's tallest EVER players. At a dunk rate of 98, Horvey is the league's best dunker, and is known for his Dunk Contest Championship in 2008. His nickname Superman correctly symbolises his intense strength and ability to "FLY" ==.

Yu, Richard[edit]

No. 15 | Pos. SG/SF | Ht. 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) | Wt. 235 lb (107 kg)

Richard Vincent Carter Yu is a noted Shooting Guard of the league. He is currently the second highest rated dunk shot player following behind Horvey Garnett D. Howard Yan. The Richard Carter Era happened during 1989 - 2001 where he dominated the league with insane dunks during contests and All-Star Games, thus winning the nickname - Vinsanity. At the time, Richard was however in Magic, where he played one whole year there with Matthew Chen. They were not so friendly at the time because Dwight Howard wanted to be Richard's friend but Matthew thought Richard was gay and thought it would be bad to let Dwight befriend Richard. Knowing this, Richard got pissed and hated Matthew. However, they met again in 2008 where they both were traded into AND2 in the same season.

Rivalries[edit]

Knights[edit]

The rivalry between the AND2s and the Knights involves the two most storied basketball franchises in SGBA history. The rivalry had been less intense since the retirements of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird in the early 1990s, but in 2008 it was renewed as the AND2s and Knights met in the Finals for the first time since 1987, with the AND2s winning the series 4-2. The two teams faced off once again in the 2010 NBA Finals which the Knights won in 7 games. The two teams have won the two highest numbers of championships, the AND2s 5, the Knights 6; together, the two teams' 11 championships account for more than half of the 19 championships in SGBA history.
