About Me

[edit]

I was born in San Jose, California but moved to Indiana many years ago. I miss my home state every day but I have tried to embrace my adopted home state. Though not as majestic and grandiose as California, it offers a rural charm that many places don't have and has a colorful history with many interesting people coming out of this state.

My Interests

[edit]

My primary interests are in the fields of science/technology and history. I am by no means an expert in either of those fields but I love reading about both those. My interest in science and technology stems from the fact that I believe that I am living in one of the most awesome times in history as it relates to the discoveries being made and advancements in technology. In the time of the Caesars it would have taken months if not years to spread his decrees to the entire empire whereas now the entire country can know exactly what is on the president's mind with the tap of a phone screen (Covfefe) Hmmm...maybe we haven't progressed too far. Which leads me right into my other interest, History. I firmly believe that despite our progress in science and technology, we are still very much creatures of habit, the same problems we face today as a human race, we have been facing for thousands of years if not millions. By studying our History much can be learned from past mistakes. "People will not look forward to posterity, who never look backward to their ancestors." Edmund Burke

Musical and artistic interests

[edit]

I am a great lover of music in general. I have listened to many different genres throughout my life. Music transcends our linguistic barriers and is a universal language in which to express our feelings. These have been a few of my favorites in years past.

My most admired piece of art is "The Scream" by Edvard Munch

My Wikilife

[edit]

I have used wikipedia immensely in the past but only just recently started editing. My nature is to be drawn towards truth regardless of whether I agree with it or not. When I see something that I find questionable on Wikipedia, my immediate response is to try and find the truth. I don't think I will do much editing but when I see something of interest that I can contribute to I will do so.
