Ikramul Hoque was born and raised in Bangladesh. He has a Bachelor Degree of Social Science, Bachelor of Laws and Master’s in Political Science, Master’s in Victimology & Restorative Justice. He is a Founder of Bangladesh Restorative Justice Society. He is a writer. He already published two books. He regularly writes in The Medium, The Istision and various Online Blogs.

Ikramul Hoque worked in the court as a Lawyer ( Acting litigation, arbitration cases, such as contract disputes, infringement disputes, shareholder rights disputes, company resolution disputes, labor disputes, private lending, insurers subrogation disputes, etc.; corporate perennial legal counsel, responsible for drafting contracts, reviewing internal management Institutions, handling labor disputes, daily legal consultations, issuing legal opinions on business management matters, participating in negotiations, staff training, etc).

Ikramul began developing a mentoring program that included restorative practices, in 2020 he created a prevention, leadership and mediation peer advocacy integrative curriculum. He piloted the Victim-Offender Intermediary Legal Consultant Firm concept and incorporating 5 students working together as a panel/circle team which developed into the VOIL were students can be connected with a platform to share their voice, views and opinions without judgement or shame.

Ikramul truly believes that peacemaking is a process of forgiveness, restoration, and justice which is the goal of all who walk this path.
