I am currently an Associate professor at Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral, Ecuador where I teach courses in the Telematics Engineering department since 2009.

Regarding my education, I studied at Northeastern University and I'm part of the Alumnus Class 2003 for the (BS), and Class 2006 for the (MS). Currently, I'm pursuing a PhD at ULPGC, Spain, so between research and courses I can enjoy the multiple nice beaches around the Gran Canaria island. If you like some quiet and relaxing places, I recommend the following ones:

Maspalomas_Dunes beach. Located on the south side of the island and in the middle of a natural reserve, this beach is enjoyable year-round.
Meloneras beach. Especially enjoyable during winter since its location block most of the winds that are so annoying during the winter on Maspalomas_Dunes beach.
La Laja beach. Located on the south side of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This is a family-oriented beach that usually, not counting the weekends, is not too crowded.
San Cristobal beach. Also located in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria provides another small family-oriented beach in the side of the fisherman neighborhood. BTW seafood restaurants here usually provide great food at economic prices.

For the reasons stated above, I live in: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, but I have lived in several othes places such as Logroño (my home town,) Palma de Mallorca, and Madrid in Spain; Boston and Brighton in United States; Guayaquil and Quito in Ecuador; Istanbul in Turkey.
