User:ImprovedWikiImprovment/The nature of Wikipedia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This essay is about the nature of Wikipedia. So what is the nature of Wikipedia? Whatever you, or rather the community, make it to be. There are many things and planes the community uses to decide what Wikipedia is and isn't.

Guidelines[edit]

These are things that have general consensus and are therefore a general standard. The best example is probably the manual of style. Of course, these can be changed; they’re no more concrete than any main article. So, guidelines aren’t what Wikipedia is, despite what editors will tell you.
