God is Real, Unless Defined Integer

A lot of people wonder where I got my screen name from. Some find it offensive, others misinterpret it as 'internet God' and some don't give a damn.

The truth is: it's a pun. True, it's a nerdy pun and maybe even a theological one, but it's a pun nonetheless.

The man

intGod's real first name is Kristof, a Flemish variation on Christopher. Kristof is born in Seoul in November 1970. He leaves Seoul and heads for Belgium at the age of 18 months, which in turn he leaves for the Netherlands at the age of 29.

The musician

He picks up the guitar in the Eighties, influenced by the styles of that era: New Wave, Electro Pop, Heavy Metal and AOR. He records a small demo in the early Nineties. The tracks are Drive, In your eye, The Camel Song and Cinderella. They are alternative rocksongs about pizzas, camels and broken hearts. He also play with a variety of musicians, playing own compositions and covers and hanging around in the Belgian alternative music scene. In 1999, he moves to the Netherlands. He drums and plays guitar in a few local bands and records a new demo sentient beings early 21st century. The songs recorded are Detached and Infinite Blue Skies.

In 2005, he founds the Gothic Metal band Transentience. They record the demo For Hope is Still There featuring the tracks For Hope is Still There, After the Storm and Calling out the Gods. In 2007, they record an EP engineered by Rogier Grosman and produced by Joost van den Broek (Star One, After Forever, …). The EP is named Paradox and contains the tracks Falling, the Inquisition, Paradox and Endgame. The EP received excellent reviews from international magazines and is even featured on iTunes and Amazon.com.

December 2008 sees Kristof leaving Transentience to concentrate on family life and his solo project: Dragons & Lilies. The music of this project will reflect Kristof’s uncompromised view on music, a mix of contemporary Metal and AOR, New Wave and Electropop.

The professional

I'm currently employed as an ICT Manager, somewhere in the Netherlands.

I studied computer science in Belgium. After and during that, I had a number of interesting jobs.

The husband

On 26 April, 2006 I married Anne. This is the girl I moved to the Netherlands to in the first place. We met on-line, lost sight of each other, regained sight and eventually fell in love over the course of 2 years.

I have no kids at time of writing although I have two kittens which I love more dearly than I would have imagined when we first got them. Their names are Tigrr and Mika.
