Above are the links to the article to which I contributed within the project, head by Professor Pensa, for the course of Heritage Studies and ICT at the University of Bergamo. I decided to improve the articles related to Busnago (a small town in the middle of Brianza, in Lombardy) because it is my hometown. First of all, I improved the contents of the Busnago municipality page on the English version of wikipedia because the municipality page on the Italian version was blocked to avoid vandalism; basically the English page only existed because the contents were limited to an introductory sentence; I have added all the texts of Physical Geography (territory and climate), History (divided into Middle Ages, Modern Age; XIX century and XX / XXI century), Monuments and places of interest (Churches of San Giovanni Evangelista and Santa Margherita, the history of oratory and of San Antonio College) and sports (translated from the Italian version but I added something new to Flag Wavers). As for the Italian page of the municipality of Busnago, I asked in the discussion page to open the page to any changes and fortunately the page administrator changed the settings allowing me and other users to improve the contents of the page. Here too I wrote all the texts relating to the sections of Physical Geography (territory and climate), History (divided into Middle Ages, Modern Age; 19th century and 20th / 21st century), Monuments and places of interest (Churches of San Giovanni Evangelista and Santa Margherita, the history of the oratory and of San Antonio College). For what concern the heritage page, I chose the page Church of San Rocco (I addded contents of history and architecture) because it wasn't the only one existing and I prefered to don't create any new page, anyway I put information and contents of Church of San Giovanni Evangelista e Santa Margheritra within the municipality page of Busnago. Within the articles I have linked all the most important words (only the first mention as the professor explained in the lectures) to the related pages in wikipedia, the link of Centro Commerciale Globo was the only one towards a webpage out of wikipedia (the official website of the shopping center).

During the project I read books (or at least some chapters), which I found in the local public library, about the History of Busnago.

here below the titles of the sources I used:

  1. Gargentini Luigi, Busnago e la sua gente 1900-1950, Busnago, 1998.
  2. Pessani Sergio e Liva Giovanni, Busnago, tra l'Adda e il Molgora, Busnago, Centro Culturale Fratel Mario Salvatori Collegio S. Antonio, 1997.
  3. Guglielmi Eugenio e Meroni Chiara, I monasteri benedettini femminili della Brianza, Varese, Pietro Macchione Editore, 2015, pp. 68-72, ISBN 978-88-6570-285-7.
  4. Pagano Emanuele, Enti locali e Stato itn Italia sotto Napoleone, Roma, Carocci Editore, 2007, p. 54, ISBN 978-88-430-4310-1. ( this one is a beautiful book that I studied during my bachelor degree for the course "Political institutions" and talks about the politics and diplomacy in Italy during the XIX century with a particular emphasis on the Lombardy)
  5. Annoni Lorenzo, Busnago 1908-2008, 100 anni in Oratorio, Busnago, parrocchia San Giovanni Evangelista, 2008.

I involved the mayor and the municipality of Busnago to obtain the legal authorization (I uploaded it on wikimedia italia) to upload images of the most important monuments of Busnago on wikipedia commons. here below the links to the images which I uploaded on wikipedia commons:
