TFATWS analysis[edit]

John Orquila of Screen Rant felt that Dreyfus debuting as De Fontaine in the series instead of in Black Widow as originally intended worked better, providing context to De Fontaine recruiting Yelena Belova in the Black Widow post-credits scene and hence giving De Fontaine "a stronger overall MCU introduction" as audiences are already aware of her recruiting John Walker, thus generating "interest in seeing Yelena fighting alongside the U.S. Agent in the future", leading to the potential development of the Dark Avengers or the Thunderbolts.^[1]
