Scott Cunningham (born August 28, 1956) is an American comic book writer, editor and illustrator. He has written, edited and illustrated stories for various titles at DC Comics and DC Vertigo, as well as work for The Simpsons comic books, and other adult-oriented comics magazines such as Heavy Metal and World War 3 Illustrated since the early 1990s.

Biography[edit]

Saying of his early work with World War 3 Illustrated, "They were the first magazine that ever gave me a chance to try to do comics, even though I didn't have a clue what I was doing. The editors had seen my street posters protesting the police riot at Tompkins Square Park back in '88 and, simply based on the passion, I guess, that I was bringing to the work, they decided to give me a try. That's why the first piece I did for them in No. 11 looks more like a series of posters than a comic. " -Scott Cunningham, Aug 4, 2010 5:21 PM

Cunningham’s self-published comic book debut of October 1988, The First Man Was Born Dead, is part of the permanent collection at The Museum of Modern Art library in New York. Lil’ BigFoot @ www.lilbigfoot.com, is weekly webcomic launched November 2008 by Scott Cunningham.
