Description[edit]
- Function: the first task of this bot is to create a large number of redirects to chemical articles. This will be a one-time "assisted editing" job, as the list of redirects to create will involve human verification. Redirects will only be created when an article or redirect does not exist already. Therefore, the risk of edit conflicts and harm to existing articles is zero.
- Programming language: Perl, using the MediaWiki::API module
- Edit rate: Only edits when a task is initiated manually; edits about once per minute.
