ISIT BECAME BANGLADESH's FIRST CASHLESS POLYTECHNIC

The Institute of Science and Information Technology (ISIT) is a pioneering private polytechnic institute approved by the Bangladesh Government and Technical Education Board (BTEB). The institute was established in the year of 2000 to develop mid-level skilled engineers by giving more importance to practical education as well as text-book based education in information technology-based globalization.

ISIT campus shifted from Tejgaon to Mirpur during the COVID-19 pandemic. From its inception, ISIT has been striving to become a fully cashless polytechnic campus. Sixty to seventy percent of students come from outside Dhaka. Consequently, their parents often send tuition fees using mobile banking services like Bkash. Local students also prefer mobile banking for tuition payments. Recently, ISIT has started accepting all types of fees through Bkash, bank transfers, and POS. Finally, ISIT achieved fully cashless status in 2024, proudly becoming the first cashless polytechnic campus.
