Diego Dominguez ( born April 4, 1965 ) , Is an American born Venezuelan Fashion Designer .

 Diego Dominguez, a creative Fashion Designer with an experimental appeal. and an edgy approach,  unbalanced and non conventional concept of exclusive and mostly one of a kind and hand made pieces including Street Fashion, Pret-a-Porte, and Couture.

 Dominguez, launches his first work as a designer 1985 after completing Fashion studies in Venezuela as well as  Illustration at the Venezuelan Atheneo of Caracas.  Dominguez managed to balance between two worlds, his Post-Punk aesthetics and the glamorous areas of Couture and Pret-a-Porte developing the unique and unconventional approach that gave his early work a distinctive concept still noticeable on his latest work. 

Dominguez early work includes designing for his own brand as well as designing collections for brands like Backard and Stylo in Venezuela, fashion shows in Venezuela, Miami, and N.Y. including New York Fashion week 1989 for his own brand and 1991-92 when working for N.Y. Designer MANOLO, also worked alongside master tailor Domenico Beltrone, worked for British Designer Paul Smith  in New York, and designed for local N.Y. based designers.

    Media presence includes many Venezuelan & US magazines such as DETAILS Mag. Model Citizen mag., Sports Wear Intl., DNR, Men's Mag. and VIBE Mag. among others,  news papers, editorials, covers, and stories, TV appearances in local Venezuelan talk shows and interviews, and designed  dresses for personalities such as Venezuelan's First Lady and 1988 Miss Venezuela beauty pageant show ( Miss Venezuela Yajaira Vera )

Dominguez was featured among the top five best Venezuelan designers in a list published by the El Diario in 1988 a list that included designers such as Guy Meliet and Angel Sachez, later that year Dominguez relocates to N.Y. to continue his carrier and opens a retail location in the New York East Village area.

After battling personal and health problems for many years, Dominguez has reinvented himself with a new vision that gave birth to JAMES 113 in 2017 his new brand, this new and experimental work reveals once again the dark creative aspect present in his early work, edgy, deconstruction , and post punk influence can bee noticeable on his work at James 113 in the Miami Design District, a new project along side partner and wife for 25 years former N.Y. Model Frances.
