Simone Bienne

Personal life

Simone Bienne (born 1974) is a British TV personality and Sex & Relationship therapist.

Bienne was born in Buckinghamshire, England to immigrant parents. Bienne’s father was Indian and died from pancreatic cancer in 2009. Bienne’s mother is Swiss Czech.

Bienne’s first marriage in 2001 was to Simon Monjack (English screenwriter and widower of American actress Brittany Murphy)(1) and lasted three months. Bienne married for a second time in 2008.

Bienne is an Accredited Sex and Relationship Therapist / Couples Counsellor (3) and has a private practice in London, where she works with straight, gay and bi-sexual couples and individuals to help them overcome issues in their relationships and sex lives(4).

Career

In the UK, Bienne has hosted Surprise Weddings, ITV / ITV2, I Really Fancy You, ITV2, A Place In The Sun, Channel 4, Granada TV's Breakfast News, World on A Plate (ITV), Talking Sex with Simone for sky.com and The Healthy Sex Series for The News of The World. Bienne has commented on sex and relationships on ITV’s Lorraine, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Channel 5 News, Live@ Studio 5 (5), MTV, Living TV, Big Brother’s Little Brother and on US TV for Extra as a Lifechanger (6). As a British Asian, she was a Judge for the inaugural Asian Awards 2010 (7), and has guest hosted at the GG2 Awards with Cherie Blair (8).

Bienne worked with the previous Labour government as part of Kids In The Middle campaign to advise on the proposed relationship green paper. Her work continues with the current UK Coalition government (9).
