A large majority of her movies are in the horror or thriller film genre, however Baer has stepped away from those genres, especially in the making of the comedic movie Odd Brodsky.
Odd Brodsky
[edit]Cindy Baer’s feature film Odd Brodsky was a low budget film that used many unique filming techniques to portray the “realistic” idea of the film (Film Radar). The movie was shot with a Cannon 5D Mark II and a Cannon 7D (Below the Line). The film crew shot the movie in countless practical locations in order to portray a believable story. Odd Brodsky is a story about a girl named Audrey Brodsky has been dreaming of becoming a famous actress all her life. Eventually Brodsky moved to Hollywood where she worked a fulltime desk job. After an entire decade, Brodsky realizes it is time to finally pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She finds comfort and inspiration in her group of girlfriends who call themselves “The Angels”. This group of five best friends, some of which are in a rut, just like Brodsky, provide some comedic relief. In her struggle to find stardom like many others, Aubrey Brodsky hires and befriends a camera man she met online. She also moves in with a very handsome and incredibly sexy man (Film Radar). The movie follows her struggle to follow her dreams and how life doesn’t always treat everyone fairly.
