Jeff Lurie, formerly Jeffrey Lurie, is a Massachusetts native moved to Virginia in 2009 when he joined the Suffolk, Virginia Police Department[1] Jeff held the rank of Police Officer from 2009 to 2011, Detective from 2011 to 2014, Sergeant from 2014 to 2019, and Lieutenant from 2019 to 2022. Lieutenant Lurie retired early from the Suffolk, Virginia Police Department in 2022.[2] Jeff holds a Master of Public Administration in Disaster Management from American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. Jeff continues his impact on the public safety community through education and training provided by his consulting company, 38 Seconds Coaching, on topics including Financial Wellness for Public Safety, Managing Mindset for Law Enforcement, Business Concepts in Public Safety Recruiting, and Level Up Leadership. The company also offers real estate business coaching. [3]

In 2011, Jeff earned his Virginia Real Estate Salesperson license issued by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation.[4] In 2021, he opened a real estate brokerage in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and is the owner of 1st Class Real Estate Barn Door Homes in Suffolk, Virginia.[5]
