Guad Venegas

Guadalupe “Guad” Venegas is an entertainment reporter for Spanish language news program “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste.” He also frequently hosts special Telemundo productions such as the Latin Billboards, Premios Tu Mundo, Mexican Billboard Awards, Camino a la Corona Miss Universo, among others.

From regional Mexican and rock music to snowboarding and soccer, Guad Venegas had an upbringing that balanced the best of both worlds between his birthplace of Southern California and his family’s home in Mexico. Active, funny and smart, the host of “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste” has a natural charm, that has led him to become one of television’s favorite hosts throughout the country. He comes from a meteoric career with the cable channel, mun2, where he hosted ¡mun2 Pop!, 18 & Over and The mun2 Arena.

Guad earned a bachelor's degree in both Communications and Spanish Arts and Letters from San Diego State University. He began his career in 2007 as a television host on LATV. Since then, Guad joined NBCUniversal for their launch of the mun2 channel in 2009 and other entertainment and lifestyle shows which aired on mun2. In 2012, Guad was a sportscaster for Deportes Telemundo and worked as a play-by-play color commentator during the Concacaf Olympic Qualifiying Soccer Tournament. Guad was part of the Emmy award-winning NBC/Telemundo sports team during The London 2012 Olympics, hosting “mun2 Olimpico,” appearing on Telemundo’s “Un Nuevo Dia” and serving as a reporter for Emmy award-winning Olympics news specials throughout both networks.

Guad also hosts “World Party,” an international travel show that airs on TLC throughout Asia, Europe and Latin America. Aside from his role as TV host and reporter, Guad often appears in national television commercials for major brands, including but not limited to, Volkswagen, Home Depot, Toyota, Dish Latino, KFC, Time Warner, among others. IPeople en espanol magazine named Guad one of the sexiest men of 2014.
