Chris J Reed[edit]

Chris J Reed is a serial entrepreneur, author, marketing expert[1], and a public speaker[2][3] who was born in UK, and has settled in Singapore. Chris J Reed is popularly known for his Official LinkedIn Power Profile that is said to have more than 70,000 followers[4]. He has also authored two books on personal branding, namely,  “LinkedIn Mastery for Entrepreneurs” in 2016 and “Personal Branding Mastery for Entrepreneurs” in 2017, and these books are said to be the number one international bestsellers on Amazon.

Early Life[edit]

Chris J Reed was born on July 26, 1970. Hailing from a family of entrepreneurs, Chris started his first company in London, when he was 31[5]. Chris moved to Singapore in 2007. He worked as CMO in mig33, which he left in 2014.[6][7]

Career Overview[edit]

Chris is the Founder and Global CEO of Black Marketing, a marketing consultancy that specialises in enabling LinkedIn for top-level executives and entrepreneurs across the world, which was established in 2014[8][9][6]. Black Marketing which is NASDAQ-listed[10], has won the the Social Media Marketing Award by Singapore Business Review in 2016.[11]

Chris is an elected Board Member of the British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore.

Chris regularly lectures at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School on Business entrepreneurship.

Chris is the mentor for MBA students at CMO Council Singapore Management University Business School and National University of Singapore.

Chris is the Chair of the BritCham Marketing and Creative Committee.[12]

Chris has been awarded as the “Small Business Rising Star” by the British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, in 2015[13][14].

He was awarded as “Asia’s Most Influential Digital Media Professional” by CMO Asia, in 2015.[15]

In 2017, Chris was awarded as the “Social Media Entrepreneur of the Year” by CMO Asia.

In 2017, Chris’ LinkedIn profile was one of the Most Viewed Marketing and Advertising Professionals’ profiles in Singapore.[4]
