Elias Kattar

Elias Kattar is a historian born in Bteddine El Lokch, Mount Lebanon on the 21st of May, 1948.

He completed his studies at Notre Dame of Machmouché, Jezzine, followed by a Bachelor of History from the Lebanese University and a PhD from La Sorbonne, Paris IV.

He then taught at the Lebanese University and Université du Saint Esprit Kaslik, his specialty being Lebanon in the medieval ages. He also published several history books and articles, in addition to participating to several documentaries on the subject.
