Mistress and Maid is a painting created by Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer in c. 1666-1667 (Liedtke p392) and at the Frick Collection museum in New York.

Provenance and Exhibitions[edit]

In 1802, the painting was auctioned off in Paris. The catalogue announced: "Here, for the first time, we have occasion to mention this able painter in our catalogues and to offer amateurs one of his striking works."[1]
