Jose A. Alvarez Maysonet (Military Veteran, Intern Real Estate Investor, Personal Financial Coach, and Fitness Enthusiast)

Jose Alvarez Maysonet was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was raised in Bronx, NY until he enlisted in the United States Marines in 1994.

An Army Captain assigned as a Support Operations (SPO) Plans Officer for the 2nd Infantry Division Second Sustainment Brigade. He was hand selected to perform the duties of the 2ID, SBDE SPO Plans Officer, laiaison to the Senior Division Staff.

CPT Alvarez enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and served as communications specialist at Guantanamo Bay Cuba during Operation Sea Signal, later served in Okinawa Japan and Camp Lejeune NC.

In 2000 he elisted in the Army as a CH 47 Helicopter mechanic served an additional 10 years as an enlisted Soldier. CPT Alvarez commissioned through OCS, attended the Ordnance Basic Officer Leader’s Course and the Logistics Captain’s Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia. He has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland University College, Masters of Business Admisnistration from Trident University and Masters in Health Care Management also from Trident University.

CPT Alvarez's previous assignments include Marine Barracks GTMO Cuba, Camp 7th Comm Bn. Okinawa Japan, 8th Comm Battalion Camp Lejeune NC, 2-227 Aviation Bn. Camp Humphreys Korea, 2-52 Aviation Bn Ft. Hood Texas.

CPT Alvarez served as the Automotive Platoon Leader, B Co, RSS, 3CR, Company Executive Officer B Co, RSS 3CR, Logistics Support Team Platoon Leader 2-3 Saber Squadron 3CR, CUOPS Operations (S3) Officer RSS 3CR, Logistics Officer (S4) (FWD/REAR) RSS 3CR, and Support Operations Plans Officer, 2ID SBDE.
