Harshad Nalawade (born on 20th August, 1987) is a filmmaker from Belgaum, Karnataka. He successfully marked his entry into the world of cinema as a Director, Writer, and Producer with his debut feature film, Follower.

Set in the backdrop of Belgaum, Harshad drew inspiration from his own upbringing in a linguistically marginalized community in this border city.
Harshad was selected for the NFDC Film Bazaar Work-in-Progress Lab in 2021 for his debut film and then went on to be part of the Goes To Cannes section at the Cannes Film Market[1]. Follower eventually had its World Premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in 2023.
Harshad holds a degree in Bachelors in Media Studies from Symbiosis University, Pune, and currently resides in Mumbai. Prior to making his debut film, he served as an Assistant Director on advertising films and Ghoul, a web series produced by Phantom Films and directed by Patrick Graham.
Notably, Harshad co-wrote and co-created the Netflix Original Show, Killer Soup[2], starring Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma. The series is directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Currently, Harshad is in the process of developing his second feature film.
