Public toilets[edit]

Public toilets are called javno stranišče and WC.[1][2]

There are few public toilets in Slovenia.[3] A 2021 study found there were twelve public toilets per 100,000 people.[4] Squat toilets were one of the most common type of public toilets throughout the Balkans,[5] though sit toilets are more dominant in Slovenia.[2] Public toilets are generally clean and provide toilet paper.[1][2] Most train and bus stations, and cafes have public toilets.[1][3] The typical charge to use a public toilet is €0.50.[2]
