Wilberforce Muriungi Ntwiga is the former chief officer in charge of the sports docket in Tharaka Nithi County. Prior to being the Chief Officer in charge of Sports, Wilberforce was the political advisor to the current governor of Tharaka Nithi County, H.E Muthomi Njuki.

In July 2024, Wilberforce left the chief officer position in the county after he was entangled in corruption cases.
