I was raised at Sokna in the municipality of Ringerike, county of Buskerud, Norway and live in Heradsbygda, 6 km from the center of the city Hønefoss. I work as an section manager in the department of cadastre and place names in the Norwegian Mapping Authority. Earlier I worked four years in GeoForum, a branch organisation within mapping, surveying and geographical information, with approx. 2 000 members. Earlier I have also worked two years as a teacher and 17,5 years in the Norwegian Mapping Authority (Statens kartverk).

My main topics are geography (local from Ringerike), nature, environment, hunting, local history, genealogy, politics.
