Heather Killough-Walden is a California native currently living in Texas with her husband and child, a daughter. She is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Big Bad Wolf series, The Kings, the Neverland series, the Chosen Soul series, Hell Bent, Redeemer, The Third Kiss: Dorian’s Dream, The Game, Vampire, Vampire, the Lost Angels series, and the October Trilogy.
Her educational background includes religious studies, archeology, and law. She uses this wide range of knowledge toward her religious and philosophical references in the October Trilogy, Redeemer, and the Lost Angels series, etc.
Religious/Mythological References:
- Norse (The Game, The Spell – book three of the Big Bad wolf series)
- Pagan (The October Trilogy)
- Monotheistic (The Lost Angels series, Redeemer)

She has traveled all over the world and incorporates this travel heavily in her books. As she states during a USA Today interview: “If it’s in my book, if it’s on my pages, you can rest assured I’ve been there.” She traveled much as a child. Her father was a pilot, her mother was a teacher. She has two brothers and one sister, all younger than her. She was quite poor growing up but was deeply loved and supported by her parents.
Along with writing, she enjoys photography. She has won various awards for her photos and some have been featured in the homes and mansions of Texas government officials. She has been writing since she was five, the proof for which she possesses in a journal she kept at that age (Hello Kitty).
