Professional Service Industries(PSI) is an engineering consulting and testing firm, that dates back to 1881. With over 150 offices and 3000 employees in the United States and Canada, PSI is one of the largest firms of their type in the world.[1] In the United States, PSI has offices in 34 states and employs over 2500 people. PSI headquarters are located in the Chicago suburb of Oakbrook Terrace, IL, and annual revenues total approximately $240 million.[2]
History
[edit]PSI was founded in 1961 in Illinois, but has a combined experience dating back to 1881.[3]

[edit]On January 5, 2009, PSI acquired the Washington, DC based engineering consulting firm, The Eddy Group. This acquisition is expected to earn over $7 million in fees to PSI in 2009 from the DC and mid-Atlantic marketplace.[6]
