Baby dumping in Namibia

The dumping of babies in river beds, in rubbish-bins and in dams especially by women is on the rise in this beloved country of ours. According to the report published by the parliamentary standing committee on human resources, social and community development, it states that from 2003 to 2007 – 6 to 23 cases were reported with a 283 percent rose between those years. 13 similar cases were also brought to the attention of the police in 2003, 17 cases in 2005 and 15 cases in 2006 respectively. These figures were inappropriate because some cases went unreported. I urge all Namibian women to stop these barbaric behaviors with immediate effect. Stop taking innocent people’s life away.
