Ustad Haji Ameer Khan Qawwal[edit]

Ustad Haji Ameer Khan (born 11 November 1967) is a well known Pakistani singer, musician, composer, song writer, liver performer and music teacher. Primarily a singer of Qawwali since 1995, the devotional music of the Sufis. Son of Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan who was teacher of the Sabri Brothers qawwal. Haji Ameer Khan has emerged as one of the UK most prominent versatile qawwali singers. He has also sung in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Persian. Born in Karachi, Haji Ameer had his first public performance at the age of 15, at a school festival. He was an entertainment performer at young age who sang movie, folk and national songs at schools competitions.
