Sepanta Pouzesh (born April 8, 2008) is an Iranian-American zoologist, humanist, animal rights activist, child abuse activist, author, Wikipedian, and social critic. He began his career in 2026 at Harvard University, studying Marine Engineering, and later served in the United States Navy for four years aboard the USS Endurance as a colonel. Today, he resides in Salt Lake City, where he engages in various pursuits, including investing, amateur zoology, and the publication of non-fiction novels.

Early life and education

Sepanta Pouzesh was born on April 8, 2008, in Tehran, Iran, to Sara Parnian Rezaei, a student of Mycology and Botany at the University of Tehran who later worked at Harris Teeter, and Ali Pouzesh, a cabinetmaker. At the age of five, he moved with his family to the United States after winning a lottery for immigration.

From an early age, Pouzesh showed a keen interest in astronomy, biology, business, and programming. He collaborated with Jonas Stoessel on several Roblox games using Discord as their platform for communication. His passion for writing emerged when he was 16, leading to the publication of his first novel, which explored species in North America that may be extinct or endangered.

In 2026, Pouzesh was accepted to Harvard University, where he pursued a Ph.D. in Marine Engineering. His academic endeavors were driven by his ambition to join the United States Navy.

Career and Personal Life

At the age of 22, Sepanta Pouzesh was accepted into the United States Navy, where he served aboard the USS Endurance. During his spare time, he pursued his passion for marine biology, studying seashells he collected while off-duty. Using his own funds, he acquired a DNA computer to analyze his findings and to identify potential new species. In 2031, his dedication was rewarded when he discovered a new species of sea slug, which he named Cadlina bellburnellae in honor of his father, followed by another species named Cadlina bellburnellae in honor of his mother.

In 2035, Pouzesh relocated to Salt Lake City, where he continued his work in zoology. During this period, he discovered a new genus of arthropods encompassing 38 species. Additionally, he identified two new species of rodents and a subspecies of finches. His passion for writing also flourished, leading to the publication of The Pact of the Perching Birds, a well-received fiction work on teaching morality.

Personal Life

In 2037, Pouzesh married Sıla Türkoğlu. The couple welcomed their first child in 2038.

Philanthropy

Started in October of 2035, Sepanta donated 20,000 dollar to Wikipedia, he would continue donating monthly of 3000 dollars.

Later that year, he pledged to give over 50,000 dollars to the National Geographic and a further 30k to the ASPCA

Spending over 100k in late 2037 on Smokey Bear PSA the with additional 170k to the US Forest Service.
