Laurent Weil is a journalist and French television presenter, born on the 9th December, 1963, in Paris.[1][2][3]

Biography[edit]

Being passionate about cinema, he became a journalist for the radio station Hit FM from 1985 until 1989.[2]

In 1987, he joined M6 and presented the weekly programme Ciné 6, which later became Projection privée.

Since September 2010, he has been presenting a cinema chronicle every Wednesday morning with Bruno Guillon on Virgin Radio.

Speaking fluent English, Laurent Weil has interviewed many famous actors, notably  Brad Pitt, Will Smith, George Clooney, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller and Kate Winslet.

Each year, he commentates the ceremony for the Oscars direct from Los Angeles as well as the climbing of the steps of the Cannes Film Festival on Canal+. He always broadcasts a weekly programme on this channel, dedicated to cinematography, titled "Rencontres de cinéma".
