Hans Liberg (born 18 April 1954) is a Dutch pianist and comedian, who performs a special type of musical comedy in Dutch, German and English.

Life and work[edit]

As child Liberg was inspired by the piano play of German grandmother, who moved from Holzminden to the Netherlands searching for work. While his grandparents were exposing him to classical music, his parents exposed him mainly to jazz music.[1] Liberg grew up in Amsterdam aside from the piano he learned to play guitar and similar string instruments as well as clarinet, flute, trumpet and saxophon.[2] After finishing high school he studied musicology in Amsterdam and wrote his thesis on scat vocals.[1] [3]
