please stop vandalizing these pages or you will be blocked. You have violated the 3 revert rule, as well as the rules for Wikipedia discussion pages.

I would also expect that if you are claiming to speak for a government organization, that you should provide some documentation to back that up.

Messianic Judaism

[edit]

Okay then, I'll shorten the lockup to two days - just to allow for a cooling off period. Please appreciate that I'm in a slightly difficult position, because I was asked by one contributor to intervene and block another contributor - which I will not do; the fact that a number of non-Messianic contributors know that my personal sympathies are FOR the messianic movement also means that I have to be careful not to be seen to be taking sides with it, which is partly why I protected it to version before yours.

A number of questions are relevant:

  • What do Jews (non-Messianic) think of Messianic Judaism? Ideally, citations from a wide range of viewpoints, from Jews for Judaism on the one hand to Dan Cohn-Sherbock on the other, should be provided and sourced.
  • What do Christians think of Messianic Judaism? Once again, we need to cite, and source, viewpoints ranging from the strongly supportive to the highly critical.
  • What do Messianic Jews think of non-Messianic Judaism?
  • What do Messianic Jews think of Christianity?
  • Last, but not least, how do Messianic Jews define themselves?

For all of these questions - and others - we must state a wide range of points of views, from the diverse streams, and source them.

I'll lift the protection tomorrow, and hope that all sides can deal with the issue in good faith. Shalom. David Cannon 02:45, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
