I am currently a Master's student in the Latin American and Caribbean Studies program at the University of Kansas, where I also work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the English Department. I received my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas in 2021. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as Creative Writing and Publishing from Northwest Missouri State University in 2018. I have professional interest in Paraguay as well as Latin America as a whole; more specifically, though, I specialize in the Guaraní language, Guaraní folklore, Indigenous notions of gender and sexuality, Amazonian perspectivism, esotericism, and astrology. My work is interdisciplinary, incorporating elements of Indigenous studies, decolonial theory, queer studies, ethnolinguistics, Marxism, trauma theory, and narrative theory.
