Kurur" is a large village located in Karakat of Rohtas District of Bihar with total 438 families residing. The Kurur village has population of 3159 of which 1624 are males while 1535 are females as per Population Census 2011.

This Village Comes under Karakat block which is one of the most biggest block in Rohtas district. It is situated 3km away from sub-district headquarter Karakat and 40km away from district headquarter Sasaram. 
It have 20 village-assembly. It is situated in the heart of Rohtas district.   Karakat is also a place but block is not there. It is at Gorari Bal. It's area is very large and infrastructure is very beautiful.Bikramganj is nearest town to Kurur which is approximately 10km away.

People of this village are living in very peaceful manner. This village having very proud history. Agriculture is the main profession of this village. Still this village is waiting for Industrial development.
