Lakmini Wijesundera

Lakmini Wijesundera  is an award winning Sri Lankan entrepreneur and the founder of IronOne Technologies and BoardPAC.

Personal Life

Lakmini is the fourth child born to Professor Stanley Wijesundera and Anoja Wijesundera. Her siblings are Dr Rohan Wijesundera, Shalitha Wijesundera, Deepthi Tennekoon ( nee Wijesundera). Her maternal uncle is Upali Wijewardene.

Her schooling was at CMS Ladies College, Colombo, Sri Lanka and her university education was in the sphere of Engineering at University College London, University of London and Imperial College Longon, University of London in United Kingdom.

Career

Lakmini cofounded IronOne Technologies in Colombo Sri Lanka in March of 2006 and is the Chief Executive Officer. IronOne is a Software product company which has several commercially successful products.

ATrad is the stock trading product that has a leading marketshare in Sri Lanka at the Colombo Stock Exchange. ATrad is exclusively offered by 19 of the 23 operating stockbroker firms in Sri Lanka including the largest broker firms such as Capital Trust, Asia Capital, CT Smith, Richard Pieris Brokers and others.

Thereafter BoardPAC Board Meeting Automation for large corporations was started in 2011. BoardPAC is used by large corporations across twenty international regions including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Africa, India etc. Companies such as Bursa Malaysia, BSE, MayBank, Hong Leong Group, Prudential are some leading companies that use BoardPAC.

Lakmini is a non executive Board Director of Give2Lanka a non profit organization that supports bright children from poverty stricken backgrounds by provision of living allowance scholarships and housing. The ideology is that a smart child is able to bring their family and community out of poverty if provided with the access to education and opportunities.
