I am an undergraduate student at the University of Kansas. I will be graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology at the end of the fall semester 2023. I took this class because I needed enough classes to give me the hours I needed to finish out my degree requirements and because I was very intrigued by the name of the class. This world is constantly attempting to advance towards a better understanding of the past and how events truly transpired, and this course is just one example of how such an institution as the University of Kansas is playing their part. A main focus of this course is giving its students the critical thinking tools necessary to evaluate claims that have been and will be continued to be made about various archaeological subjects and identify the fake and the true. It makes this course inherently applicable to one's life far beyond the years that one spends in this course or even at this university.

I will be creating my first article on the novel I chose for my Book Review Assignment for this class, A Hypnotist's Journey to Atlantis: Eyewitness Accounts of Our Ancient History by Sarah Breskman Cosme.
