Leaf van Amsterdam is a bohemian, nomadic artist in his early 40's who creates poetry/writing/vox and has been on air live with 2nim.FM Radio (102.3fm) as a DJ/Radio Announcer in Nimbin, Australia (Northern Rivers) from December 2015 to December 2017. He is a diagnosed schizophrenic who also suffers PTSD, insomnia and has battled homelessness, poverty & relates to depressive realism. He has previously dabbled in acting as well as earning an Honours level Bachelor of Arts degree in English & Media Studies (2001). His debut poetry book, "Schizophrenic Poetics" (2017) is now available self-published by contacting: leafvanamsterdam@outlook.com.au It contains 20 years of his work from 1997 - 2017 specialising in working class and underclass writing on themes such as women, mental illness, cannabis, sex, society, death, isolation, travel, Buddhism, relationships, individuality, friendship, pornography & political activism. His work has been published in the literary magazines: "Beyond the Rainbow" (Nimbin, Australia) and "Roomers" (Melbourne, Australia). As a DJ/Radio Announcer for 2nim.FM during 2016 - 2017, he has hosted a variety of 2 hour specials on some of his favourite artists from around the world including: Mike Patton, Ween, The Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, Nirvana, Machine Gun Fellatio, Mr Bungle, Regurgitator, Tricky, Beastie Boyz, Eazy E, Lenny Kravitz, INXS, Faith No More, John Frusciante, Blur, Frenzal Rhomb, Tomahawk, Damon Albarn, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, The Beatles, Ben Ely, Silverchair, Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine, Dandy Warhols, Jimi Hendrix, Alice in Chains, Guns n Roses, Massive Attack, Powderfinger, The Hard Ons, Sublime, Grinspoon, The Cruel Sea, Jane's Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, Butthole Surfers, U2 & The Prodigy.
