Hi, my name is George and I am a retired professor of psychology living in beautiful Galveston, Texas.

My main areas of research and teaching were organizational and social psychology and I taught at an R1 university for 35 years. I am a recent widower with 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren who keep me very busy spoiling them. I think, especially in a day and age of transparency, that my hobbies do include some day trading and so I have a big interest in looking at companies for long-term investments but have also done some shorts. I am not paid by any company to come on here and run them, or their competitors, up or down. I am also a New York Yankees fans and (don't hate me for it) but do love some Dallas Cowboys, and this long in the tooth leopard is not changing either of those spots. I am also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Southern Jurisdiction and a Shriner and I am very active in raising funds for the Shriners Hospitals in whose mission I believe passionately.

I am aware that being a paid editor, especially for publicly traded companies, without disclosing it is a very serious offense and is now being looked at more closely by the SEC and by other enforcement bodies around the world, as people try to manipulate and influence stock prices and the power of companies looking to merge or acquire. The most draconian being in the European Union (the reason I even mention that is that even in my oldish age I know that the internet is everywhere so I want to cover my bases and make sure that I don't wind up in 'Club Fed' or the equivalent overseas). Even if that requirement wasn't the case, I won't ever post, delete or edit for money, personal gain or spite; as a psychologist I know the latter is the sign of someone who needs assistance. So I guess you could call this my disclaimer that I have nothing to disclaim (and my putting out there that I value my freedom a little more than some of the corporate leaders I have researched over time).

I did have a Wikipedia account for a number of years. However, likely in a senior moment, I lost the password when I got a new computer and so instead of going through retrieval I started a new one up that is named after a reference in an article I wrote some years ago about the impending healthcare crisis, specifically in lack of mental health services, in North America.

I left Wikipedia before because I started to see nasty attacks on people by folks who seemed to have no life outside of the online universe. I also did a study on a troubling trend of people "jacking" articles and messing them up out of spite or because they wanted to charge the subjects in order to clean them up or take stuff down while demanding money or other things from the subjects. That's blackmail or extortion and I think the internet and especially "crowd based" sites have encouraged that. I like to read many of the articles that are cited and believe that they should be cited accurately and that those up to no good should leave their basements or attics and go and experience what life has to offer.

I may edit from time to time and have some fun.

Peace,
