THINK PINK is an Italian casual wear brand offering apparel, accessories, shoes and bags for men, women and children with a blend between fashionable Italian design and everyday lifestyle comfort.
Today, THINK PINK is owned by G.B. International s.p.a., a subsidiary of Tecnica Group. The latter is a major Italian apparel, footwear and sporting equipment company which owns brands such as T-Shoes, Dolomite, Rollerblade, Nordica Ski, Nitro Snowboard, etc. THINK PINK is available at more than 400 points of sales in over 15 countries across Europe and Asia, including Italy, France, U.K., Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and its first store in China will open in Beijing in summer 2008.
Founded by a group of young Italian free climbers in 1979, THINK PINK introduces the philosophy of “Free Thinking from Italy” and feature products with equal emphasis on comfort and style.
History[edit]
In 1979, a group of young Italian rock climbers began to adapt a free-climbing technique with minimal equipments to enjoy freedom of movement and connect with nature without the burden of gear. They introduced a different approach to staying in tune with nature as well as a new style of attire which places equal emphasis on both style and function. At that time, the color pink was known to stand for freedom and so it was used as the signature for THINK PINK to represent the longing for a lifestyle free of burden.
Free Thinking Philosophy[edit]
“Free Thinking from Italy” is the brand philosophy of THINK PINK which emphasizes the importance of being free to establish one’s own style, having comfort and convenience for everyone to fully appreciate nature while being able to look fashionable for metropolitan life at the same time.
