Things I love[edit]

  • Old movies (anything 1970 back!)
  • Old singers (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Judy Garland)
  • Languages (mostly Romance languages, but I dabble a bit in Mandarin)

What I use Wikipedia most for[edit]

  • General reference
  • Checking dates of events (mostly to fact-check friends and family!)
  • To get lost in a browse, clicking from page to page (I can spend HOURS doing this!)

How I became interested in Editing on Wikipedia[edit]

I opened an account years ago and never did anything with it. I became interested in the editing process as I posted a page of something I was interested in and was 'called out' for having a conflict of interest. I thought I was in trouble, but then the editor really took time to explain the process of editing to me (see my Talk page). It was through this dialogue that I realized how crucial the community was with Wikipedia. Because of this experience, I am now interested in providing Edit Requests to parties who are wanting their work to be verified for neutrality.

Disclosures[edit]

I studied at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Houston Galveston Institute.
