Purcell Residence[edit]

Purcell residence building is on the newest dormitory building in UBC Okanagan campus in the city of Kelowna in British Columbia. It is has five floors in total with a rooftop terrace as its unique feature. There are two entrance, nee facing the South on the first floor and the other one facing North which is the back side of the school on the second floor.

Location[edit]

Purcell residence is a part of the lower campus of UBC Okanagan campus. It is sitting at the North end of the lower campus, front door facing South which is the Commons field and the back is facing a basketball court and a street hokey rink along with the wilderness beyond them. It is the building closest to the Kelowna airport in the whole campus. You will be able to see the planes take off and land from the terrace.

Building features[edit]

Purcell has five floors in total with a common lounge on the first floor; two vending machines and two study rooms and a rooftop terrace that can be accessed by all students who live in the building. Each floor also has it own lounge that is only accessible by the student living on that particular floor. There are 14 dorm units on the first floor; 24 on the second; 27 the the third and fourth with lastly 17 on the fifth floor. Each of these unit consist of A and B with one student living in each side sharing a washroom that connects A and B and this layout is called the single connected.[1][2]
